Cosmetic injectables are often needed or wanted by patients who are looking to make a change to their appearance. You may be suffering from volume loss or even have issues with fine lines and wrinkles. Some of the reasons you'd want to consider cosmetic injectables include:

• You have fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead or around the eyes and lips
• You suffer from low self-esteem because of your appearance
• You want to avoid invasive plastic surgery

Most patients who want cosmetic injectables are good candidates for the actual procedure. We will go over your health and medical history as well as perform a thorough examination. We will ask you about the areas you're looking to change or enhance and offer our own advice and recommendations according to what we feel you'd benefit from. Keep in mind that cosmetic injectables are not permanent, and future injections will be needed to maintain results.

Your doctor will map out the areas of the face that will be treated. If you are receiving a neurotoxin, like Botox, a series of simple injections will be given in the designated areas. If you are receiving a dermal filler, like Juvederm, we will apply a topical anesthetic to help numb the skin so that the injections are more comfortable for you. From there, we will administer one or more injections in the area to be treated. You may experience redness and/or slight swelling or bruising for the first day following the injections. You will be given some aftercare instructions to follow to ensure you get a great result.
